Our plastic parts production is carried out in compliance with ISO 9001:2016. As an experienced manufacturing cooperative, Plastoma specializes in plastic injection molding and molded parts for the automotive sector and other industries, with a strong focus on precision and quality.
We also provide overmolding of metal components, subassemblies, threaded inserts, and insulated wires. In serial production, we ensure proper conditioning of parts and process all common engineering materials, including highly heat-resistant materials such as PES or PEI.
Our injection moulding machinery
To support production, we operate twelve injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 40 to 250 tons and a maximum shot weight of 1,000 g. Our 100- and 250-ton machines are equipped with robots for part removal and precise placement, while several machines feature on-site waste recycling systems. Two machines with 50- and 60-ton capacities enable vertical injection molding into the mold’s parting line. We use modern molds and technologies for efficient plastic processing, including products made from recycled plastics and high-precision carbon components. Our capabilities also cover technical plastic moldings, plastic packaging, and solutions designed with plasticization in mind. For injection molding, we employ molds with hot runners, full hot manifolds, and core pullers. In addition, we provide external 3D part measurement as well as small-series production tailored to specific customer requirements – including packaging, labeling, and delivery.
Production and quality control processes meet requirements of the ISO 9001:2016 standard and are audited regularly.
FAQ: Plastic Injection Molding
-
What does plastic injection molding mean and how does Plastoma use it? Plastic injection molding is a manufacturing process in which molten plastic is injected into a mold to create a precise molded part. Plastoma specializes in plastic injection molding and the production of plastic molded parts for the automotive industry as well as other industrial sectors. All production is carried out in accordance with ISO 9001:2016, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
-
How does Plastoma manufacture plastic parts? Plastic parts are produced on modern injection molding machines with clamping forces from 40 to 250 tons. The company processes standard engineering materials as well as high heat-resistant plastics such as PES or PEI. Series production also includes conditioning of parts, and where required, processing molded parts made from recycled plastic or carbon-based materials.
-
What are plastic molded parts and what types does Plastoma produce? Plastic molded parts are the final components created through injection molding. Plastoma produces technical plastic parts, plastic packaging, and molded parts for the automotive industry. The company also offers overmolding of metal components, subassemblies, threaded cores, and insulated wires.
-
What injection molding machines does Plastoma use? Plastoma operates 12 injection molding machines with clamping forces from 40 to 250 tons and a maximum shot weight of 1,000 g. Selected machines are equipped with robots for part removal, multiple waste recycling systems, and technology for vertical injection molding into the mold’s parting line.
-
What does the clamping force of an injection molding machine mean? Clamping force indicates how much force the machine can apply to keep the mold closed during material injection. Our machines have clamping forces from 40 to 250 tons, enabling the production of both smaller and larger plastic parts and molded components in various volumes.
-
What are injection molds used for, and does Plastoma provide mold manufacturing? The injection mold defines the shape of the final molded part. You can request a non-binding quotation for the production of plastic molded parts, including the manufacturing of injection molds. Mold production is carried out according to the needs of the specific customer.
-
How are molds for plastic injection molding manufactured? Plastoma offers injection mold manufacturing together with molded-part production. The molds used in production include hot runner nozzles, full hot runner systems, and core pullers, ensuring an efficient and high-quality injection molding process.
-
Does Plastoma provide custom plastic manufacturing or only mass production? Yes! In addition to series production, Plastoma also provides small-batch manufacturing of plastic parts fully tailored to the customer’s requirements. The company also handles custom packaging, labeling, and logistics according to the client’s wishes.
-
What do hot runner nozzles mean in an injection mold? Hot runner nozzles are mold components that allow efficient plastic processing without unnecessary sprues and waste. Plastoma uses molds with hot runner nozzles, full hot runner systems, and core pullers, helping maintain stable product quality and process efficiency.
-
What additional services does Plastoma offer besides plastic injection molding?
Plastoma also provides other manufacturing and assembly services:
- Assembly operations
- Ultrasonic welding of plastic parts
- External 3D measurement of parts
- Packaging, labeling, and deliveries according to customer requirements
Thanks to this, the company can deliver not only the molded parts themselves, but also fully processed and assembled products.
